This Privacy Policy describes how MangaSway ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile application (Package Name: net.mangasway.reader), related website pages, and support channels (collectively, the "Service").

By downloading, accessing, or using MangaSway, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the practices described in this notice.

01. Our Starting Point

MangaSway is built to deliver a smooth, high-definition comic discovery and reading experience without mandatory in-app registration. We follow the principle of data minimization, collecting only the information required to deliver comic chapters, remember your bookshelf and reading progress, troubleshoot technical issues, protect against misuse, and maintain service performance.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. If local laws require parental or guardian consent in your country of residence, such consent must be obtained before using MangaSway.

02. Information We May Receive

Details you choose to send

You may voluntarily provide feedback, issue descriptions, screenshots, images, or error reports when reporting a problem with reading, chapter loading, search, bookshelf, or user experience through our in-app feedback portal.

App and device signals

When MangaSway runs on your device, we may process technical data necessary for application functionality, including:

• An installation-level device identifier (e.g., Android ID or OAID/GAID);
• Device model, manufacturer, hardware specifications, platform, and operating system version;
• Application version, package name (net.mangasway.reader), language, and timezone settings;
• IP address, network connection type (Wi-Fi, cellular), and request logs;
• Diagnostics, ANR reports, and crash stack traces;
• In-app interaction data: reading history, chapter progress, bookmarks, favorites, search queries, and reading preference settings.

Infrastructure & Third-Party SDK Records

Content hosting, Content Delivery Networks (CDN), image decryption services, cloud storage, security filters, analytics, and advertising providers may process technical request logs necessary to deliver image streams, chapters, feedback uploads, and secure API responses.

03. Why We Use Information

We process information strictly for the following purposes:

• Deliver comic pages, chapter lists, catalog recommendations, and high-performance reader features (such as continuous vertical scrolling and image caching).
• Maintain your local bookshelf, favorites, chapter reading progress, reading history, and language preferences.
• Review user feedback and process diagnostic screenshots or logs voluntarily submitted to fix reported bugs.
• Monitor app stability, detect crash patterns, diagnose image loading failures, and optimize memory/battery consumption.
• Detect and prevent security events, bot scraping, denial-of-service attempts, unauthorized content redistribution, and service abuse.
• Serve non-intrusive advertisements to support free digital comic access.
• Comply with applicable legal duties and enforce our User Agreement and Terms of Service.

04. Accounts and Payments

MangaSway does not currently require an account to browse or read comics in the app. Furthermore, MangaSway does not directly collect or store payment card numbers, bank details, or financial credentials. If account registration or paid features are introduced in future versions, this policy will be updated prior to the release of such features.

05. Data Sharing & Third-Party SDKs

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited technical data with trusted service providers to assist with hosting, cloud storage, content delivery, crash analytics, and advertising. These third-party services operate under their respective privacy policies:

We may also disclose information if required by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulation, or to protect the vital rights, property, and safety of MangaSway, its users, or the public.

06. Storage Technologies & Local Caching

MangaSway utilizes sandboxed local storage, memory caches, and temporary disk caching on your device. These technologies help remember your reading progress, cache encrypted/decrypted chapter pages, improve loading speeds, and preserve user preferences offline.

You have full control over your local data: you can clear cached comic files and reading history directly inside the app at any time by navigating to Me → Cache Management, or via your Android device system application settings.

07. Security & Retention

We implement industry-standard technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration, including encrypted data transmission via TLS/HTTPS.

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for comic delivery, troubleshooting, security audits, legal compliance, and business records. Reading history and bookshelf records remain locally on your device until you clear them or uninstall the application. Diagnostic crash logs are automatically purged after technical investigation (typically within 180 days).

08. Your Choices & Legal Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the GDPR/UK GDPR in Europe and CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the following rights:

• Access, Rectification & Deletion: Request confirmation of data processing, access your data, or request the deletion of data held in our systems.
• In-App Consent Management (EEA / UK): You can review, modify, or revoke your consent preferences (via Google User Messaging Platform) at any time via Me → Privacy Choices.
• Advertising ID Reset: You can reset or delete your Google Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time via your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads.
• CCPA/CPRA Disclosure: We do not sell or share personal information for monetary or valuable consideration.

09. Cross-Border Processing

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside of your country or jurisdiction of residence. MangaSway is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in relevant jurisdictions).
